ethnic and gender diversity, launching employee development and student pipeline programs, and expanding the diversity of perspectives and storytelling on air. Due was key to the development of global programming initiatives Black in America and Latino in America and the creation of the In America production unit, community forum “CNN Dialogues” in partnership with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights and Emory University’s James Weldon Johnson Institute for the Study for Race and Difference, and a company-wide initiative geared toward producing more content for the growing and diverse U.S. Hispanic market.

CNN has been honored with significant industry honors that reflect her leadership. In 2007, CNN received the “Best Practices Award” from the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) for exemplary work in covering issues “of great significance to the black community or the African Diaspora and/or for efforts in increasing diversity among newsroom staff and management.” In 2009, CNN received the Corporate Diversity Award from the American Institute of Managing Diversity. Due herself has been individually recognized for her achievements. She was named a Top 100 Diversity Officer and a Top Diversity Officer in Sports by the National Diversity Council in 2021, has been recognized on Cablefax’s Diversity List and Most Powerful Women List in 2019, 2020 and 2021, was honored as a “Woman to Watch” by Multichannel News in 2020, and was named to MIPAD’s (Most Influential People of African Descent) Global Top 100 List in 2020 and received their Most Influential 100 Hall of Fame award in 2021. She was named one of the “Top Black Voices in Network News” by Ebony magazine in 2007. The next year she received a 2008 NAMIC Luminary Award and was honored with the Ida B. Wells Award by NABJ and the National Conference of Editorial Writers, which cited her “passionate and impactful efforts to promote diversity in staffing and expanded coverage of minority communities and issues at one of the nation’s preeminent news outlets, and for championing the cause of diversity beyond her newsroom’s doors.” Due was the 2010 recipient of the corporate award from NV magazine, bestowed upon individuals who have “found a way to raise the standard for how their corporation operates by not only protecting the bottom line but increasing the integrity of the brand.” In 2013, Due was named one of Rolling Out magazine’s “Top 25 Women of Atlanta.”

As vice president and assistant general counsel for CNN, Due vetted daily, special and investigative news content for defamation, privacy and copyright concerns and provided strategic guidance on legal issues relating to content production and distribution on television and evolving digital platforms. She was a valued partner for editorial teams and a key resource for digital product teams. She shepherded the development of iReport, which was the first user-generated content website of a major news organization, was an advocate and advisor on the development of “Impact Your World,” CNN’s first pro-social, global, cross-platform programming initiative to empower audiences to respond philanthropically to news events, and advised on the development of CNNgo, a next-generation digital product which gives users unprecedented control over their TV news consumption. Additionally, Due managed CNN’s multinational rights and clearances department. She also oversaw access matters for CNN, with successful lawsuits against the State of Florida for a copy of its suspected felons list prior to the 2004 election which impacted the state’s election policy, against the federal government to gain access to Hurricane Katrina victim recovery efforts which contributed to CNN’s Peabody award-winning coverage, and against local agencies relating to the 2013 death of Kendrick Johnson, which led to the reopening of the investigation into the Georgia teen’s death. Recognized for her media law expertise, she has taught as an adjunct professor of media law at Cornell Law School and as an adjunct professor of law and ethics at CUNY’s Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism.

Due serves on the boards of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the WICT Network (formerly Women in Cable Telecommunications), and is the immediate past chair of the board of Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company. Prior to joining CNN, Due was associate general counsel for The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc., where she practiced litigation, intellectual property, and media law. While at McGraw-Hill, Due received a Black Achievers in Industry award from the Harlem branch of the YMCA of Greater New York. Before joining McGraw-Hill, Due worked as a litigation associate in the New York office of law firm Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts. In 1994, as a pro bono fellow for the firm, Due worked in Rome as vice president of S.O.S.

Razzismo Italia, a non-profit organization that is part of a European network committed to fighting racial discrimination against immigrants and people of color.

Due earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges and a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Sussex in England by studying race relations and organizational culture under a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship. She earned her law degree from Cornell Law School, specializing in international legal affairs. Bloys was promoted to the role of President, HBO series, late night and specials in February 2016, responsible for the development and production of all series, talk shows and specials for the network. Before that, he served as Executive Vice President, HBO Programming from 2013, and was responsible for comedy series, late night and specials. 

He joined HBO in 2004 as Director, Development, HBO Independent Productions (HIP), and was promoted to Vice President, HIP, in 2005. In 2006, he was named Vice President, HBO Entertainment, spearheading the development and production of comedy series and named Senior Vice President in 2009.

Dungey鈥檚 career in entertainment spans both television and film. She partnered with Pamela Post and formed Dexterity Pictures, a production partnership focused on making both studio and independent films, as well as developing television series. She also served as president of Material, a film production company with a first-look deal at Warner Bros. Prior to that, she served for five years as a Warner Bros. production executive, helping to develop and supervise a diverse range of commercially successful, critically acclaimed films.

Dungey has received many nominations and awards in recognition of her career accomplishments, including being honored with the Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award, presented by NATPE (National Association of Television Program Executives) during a special ceremony in June 2022. She was also recognized by Variety as one of its Power of Women: Los Angeles honorees in September 2021.

Dungey graduated magna cum laude from UCLA鈥檚 School of Theater, Film and Television. She has been a visiting professor at the school and serves on the school鈥檚 Executive Board. She is a founding board member of Step Up, and a former board member of Children鈥檚 Institute. In 2021, Gunn brought his trademark sensibilities to the Warner Bros. feature film 鈥淭he Suicide Squad鈥�, which he wrote and directed. The film starred Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Joel Kinnaman reprising their roles from the DC franchise as well as a new group of characters led by Idris Elba, John Cena, Peter Capaldi, Alice Braga, Michael Rooker, Nathan Fillion, Mayling Ng, Steve Agee, Flula Borg, Storm Reid, Sean Gunn, Daniela Melchior, David Dastmalchian, Pete Davidson, and more.  

Based on John Cena’s popular character in “The Suicide Squad,” Gunn created, wrote, and directed “The Peacemaker,” a spinoff series for HBO Max. The show debuted on January 13, 2022 to rave reviews and garnered an Emmy nomination. Gunn carefully curated the soundtrack for the series, which has been praised by critics and was highlighted in the viral dance sequence from the show’s opening credits.  

In 2014, Gunn brought to life what is now one of the most memorable franchises in the Marvel Universe, 鈥淕uardians of the Galaxy.鈥� Gunn wrote and directed both 鈥淕uardians of the Galaxy鈥� and 鈥淕uardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,鈥� which have earned a combined 1.5 billion dollars at the global box office.鈥疶he original was the second highest grossing film of 2014 and spent five weekends atop the charts, a record in Marvel history. 鈥疶he franchise has garnered impressive reviews from film critics around the world, won the Critics鈥� Choice Award for Best Action Movie and was nominated for three Academy Awards, two Grammys, two BAFTAs, seven MTV Movie Awards and two People鈥檚 Choice Awards, amongst many others.鈥� Gunn was personally nominated for a WGA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2014.  

Knowing what an important role music plays in a movie, Gunn personally chose every song included in the 鈥淕uardians of the Galaxy鈥� film soundtracks. The albums, Awesome Mix Vol. 1 and Awesome Mix Vol. 2, featured pop songs from the 1960鈥檚 & 70鈥檚 and were highly praised by critics as being a secondary character in the film that serves as its emotional core.鈥� Awesome Mix Vol. 1 is the first soundtrack comprised entirely of previously released songs to ever reach the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts. Vol. 1 went on to become certified Platinum status; Vol. 2 finished 2017 as the country’s eighth highest-selling album with 600,000 copies sold, and has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.  

Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Gunn began his career at the age of twelve by making a zombie movie with an eight-millimeter camera and an actor, his brother Sean. Gunn got his start in the industry while attending Columbia University. He applied for a part-time job filing papers at famed B-movie studios Troma Entertainment, and was paid $150 to write the screenplay for the feature 鈥淭romeo & Juliet鈥� instead. In 1997, 鈥淭romeo鈥� became a cult hit, playing in theaters around the world, including over a year of midnight screenings in Los Angeles.  

Gunn left Troma to write and star in (along with Rob Lowe, Thomas Haden-Church, and Jamie Kennedy) the 2000 feature film, 鈥淭he Specials,鈥� about a group of superheroes on their day off.鈥疘n the same year, Bloomsbury Press released Gunn鈥檚 critically acclaimed novel “The Toy Collector,” the story of a hospital orderly who sells drugs to finance his escalating toy collecting addiction. In 2004, Gunn wrote the live action 鈥淪cooby-Doo鈥� movie which grossed over $300 million worldwide.鈥疕e became the first screenwriter in history to write back-to-back hits standing at #1 at the weekend box office, with the critically-acclaimed and re-imagined 鈥淒awn of the Dead鈥� on March 19, 2004 and 鈥淪cooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed鈥� on March 26, 2004.  

Gunn鈥檚 love for the comedy and horror genres coalesced in his feature film directorial debut, 鈥淪lither,鈥� which he also wrote. The film was released by Universal in 2006 and stars Nathan Fillion and Elizabeth Banks. “Slither” is featured on Rotten Tomatoes as one of the 鈥淭op Ten All鈥揟ime Best Reviewed Horror Films,鈥� was named 鈥淭he Best Horror film of 2006鈥� by Rue Morgue Magazine, and garnered Gunn a Saturn Award and a Fangoria Chainsaw Award for his work on the film.  

Additionally, in 2010, Gunn directed the independent feature film, 鈥淪uper鈥� starring Rainn Wilson, Elliot Page, Liv Tyler, and Kevin Bacon. It is the dark and comedic tale of a disturbed man who dresses up as a superhero to save his ex-wife from her drug-dealing new boyfriend.鈥� “Super鈥� was an official selection at the Toronto Film Festival, was picked up by IFC Films, and is IFC鈥檚 top selling film ever on On-Demand.  

In 2012 Gunn released his first video game, Lollipop Chainsaw, with Suda 51 and Warner Bros, on Xbox and Playstation 3. In 2008 he created Xbox Live鈥檚 first original content, producing seven comedy shows by horror directors, and creating his own, “Sparky & Mikaela.”鈥疓unn鈥檚 additional credits include hosting the reality show Scream Queens for VH1 and writing and directing the comedy web series PG Porn, which has received over 70 million hits online, has been remade by Canal+ in France, and is one of the most profitable web series of all time.

A prolific and widely respected producer, Safran was previously President and Founder of The Safran Company, which has generated more than $3 billion in worldwide box office, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Pictures & New Line Cinema, with the blockbuster The Conjuring Universe, among others. Since the 2013 release of director James Wan鈥檚 The Conjuring, the blockbuster film series has earned a staggering combined gross of nearly $2 billion worldwide, becoming the biggest horror franchise of all time, with the latest installment 鈥� 2021鈥檚 The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It 鈥� taking in $180 million globally.

Safran reunited with his Conjuring partner James Wan to deliver the 2018 box office juggernaut Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa in the title role. Following its record-shattering run, which topped out at an astonishing $1.14 billion at the worldwide box office, Safran and Wan again reteamed to continue the popular adventure franchise with 2023鈥檚 hugely anticipated Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Safran also reteamed with David F. Sandberg, director of the Conjuring franchise entry Annabelle: Creation, to bring one of DC鈥檚 most critically praised films to the big screen, the 2019 box office smash Shazam!, which earned over $364 million worldwide, and its 2023 follow-up Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Other recent credits include the upcoming chiller The Nun 2, which continues The Conjuring Universe saga.

Before taking the helm of DC Studios, Safran and James Gunn first teamed up to produce the hit HBO Max series Peacemaker, a spin-off of Gunn鈥檚 acclaimed 2021 DC feature The Suicide Squad. He also produced the 2022 Amazon romantic comedy I Want You Back, directed by Jason Orley (Big Time Adolescence) and starring Charlie Day and Jenny Slate. Next up for the banner is the DC entry Blue

Beetle, which marks the fan-favorite super hero鈥檚 first-ever big screen feature, coming to theaters August 18, 2023 from Warner Bros. Pictures.

Raised in the UK, Safran crossed the Atlantic to graduate from Princeton University and ultimately earn his J.D. degree at the New York University School of Law. Following a brief tenure as a corporate attorney, he pursued his passion for film to Los Angeles and an entry level job at UTA. He cut his industry teeth as a talent manager at Gold-Miller Co. then joined Brillstein-Grey, where he rose to the role of President before leaving the agency in 2006 to launch The Safran Company.

WBD global sports assets include TNT Sports in the UK and Ireland, along with Eurosport, the largest pan-European sports brand and current rightsholder of the Olympic Games in 2024. In 2022, Eurosport merged with BT Sport to create a new sports destination for fans in the UK and Ireland (since rebranded as TNT Sports in the market), featuring one of the most extensive collections of live sports coverage including the Olympic Games, Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Premiership Rugby, MotoGP, UFC, Boxing, WWE, tennis Grand Slams, cycling Grand Tours and the winter sports World Cup season.

Silberwasser has held several senior leadership positions with Discovery throughout his career including Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer of Discovery Networks International, a portfolio of 185 international networks in 224 countries and territories worldwide. While in the role, he was instrumental in building the company鈥檚 international business with a focus on live content and elevating its successful global brands.

Prior to joining WBD Sports, Silberwasser was President of Univision Television Networks Group, overseeing the company鈥檚 U.S. broadcast and cable networks including entertainment, news and sports content divisions. He previously served as President of Telemundo Networks, the U.S. Spanish-language broadcast partner for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

In addition to his career in media, Silberwasser was Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble, where he led top beauty care brands for its US division.

Silberwasser holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

In addition to his work at CNN, Mark is the Chairman of Ancestry; Deputy Chair of the Royal Shakespeare Company and Co-Chair of the International Fund for Public Interest Media, a new global fund to support journalists around the world.

Mark stepped down as President and CEO of The New York Times Company in the summer of 2020 after an eight-year tenure (2012-20) during which he led the transformation of the 170-year-old news brand into a digital powerhouse. Digital subscribers jumped to nearly 6 million, up from half a million when he joined. NYTCo stock quintupled in value during his period as CEO.

Sir Mark鈥檚 appointment at The New York Times Company followed an eight-year term (2004-12) as Director General (Editor-in-Chief and Chief Executive) of the BBC. As well as guiding the BBC鈥檚 coverage of the global financial crisis and the 2012 London Olympic Games, he is credited with major advances in the BBC鈥檚 digital offering and digital audience reach, including the successful launch of the BBC鈥檚 iPlayer, one of the world鈥檚 first streaming services from a major broadcaster (2007).

He joined the BBC from Channel 4 where he was Chief Executive from 2002 to 2004. Before Channel 4 he held a series of senior posts at the BBC including Editor of The Nine O鈥檆lock News and Panorama, Controller of BBC Two and Director of Television.

His book, 鈥淓nough Said: What鈥檚 Gone Wrong with the Language of Politics?鈥� was published in the UK and US in September 2016. He was educated at Stonyhurst College and Merton College Oxford. He is an honorary fellow of Merton College Oxford and a member of the American Philosophical Society.

Mark is married and has three children and is based in New York City.

He was knighted for services to Media in King Charles III鈥檚 Birthday Honours in June 2023.

Appointed President of WarnerMedia International in 2020, Zeiler added responsibility for Discovery Inc.鈥檚 significant international footprint following the close of the Discovery-WarnerMedia merger in April 2022. He first joined Turner in 2012 as President, Turner International, where he oversaw the entertainment and kids鈥� networks in all markets outside of North America, working with core global brands on local and regional channels. 

Prior to joining Turner, Zeiler was CEO of RTL Group, a division of German conglomerate Bertelsmann and Europe鈥檚 largest television production and broadcast company. Under his leadership, RTL expanded its international footprint, bringing hit competition shows like Idols and Got Talent to the U.S. market and growing its holdings to 41 channels and 34 radio stations across 10 countries.鈥�&苍产蝉辫;

Among his many professional honors, Austrian-born Zeiler is the first non-American to receive NATPE鈥檚 prestigious Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award in 2011.聽
